title | 454 ITS pyrosequencing of soil fungi in a subtropical experimental forest in southeast China 2.5 years after establishment (October 2011)
description | BEF China is the currently largest forest biodiversity experiment worldwide and the only forest experiment located in the subtropical region. The study site A was set up in spring 2009 when tree seedlings of 16 native subtropical tree species were planted in five diversity levels according a broken stick design (random extinction scenario). In October 2011, we conducted the first study on soil fungi in the newly establishing forest plots. We did pyrosequencing of the ITS2 region by pyrosequencing of soil samples collected in the vicinity of sampling trees.
