This will be a joint project between OUCRU Vietnam and Public Health England (PHE) to study the phylogeography of and emergence of H58 Salmonella Typhi. Phylogeography is studying the evolution of organisms in a defined spatiotemporal window. This is a genomics based project, DNA from c400-600 Salmonella Typhi will be extracted after culture and subjected to whole genome sequencing using Illumina technology and placed into phylogenetic context based on their time and date of isolation This data is part of a pre-publication release. For information on the proper use of pre-publication data shared by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (including details of any publication moratoria), please see http://www.sanger.ac.uk/datasharing/ |
