As of 2008, there were two finished genome sequences available for Salmonella Paratyphi A: ATCC9150 (EMBL:CP000026) and AKU_12601 (EMBL:FM200053). In this study, ATTC9150 and an additional 5 S. Paratyphi A isolates were sequenced using Illumina sequencing (one lane per isolate, 35 bp single-end reads, 20-40x read depth). Equal quantities of DNA from these 5 isolates plus ATCC9150 were pooled, and sequenced (Illumina sequencing, two lanes, 35 bp single-end reads). The data was used to develop a method for detecting SNPs and estimating their frequencies within pooled DNA samples, using the individual genome data to determine the expected frequency of each SNP in the pooled sample. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
