title | Resequencing of 462 accessions from world-wide germplasm collection
description | We used a much broader and larger sample of world-wide rice cultivars including Oryza sativa indica and japonica subspecies to perform genome-wide association studies for complex traits in rice. The collected samples contained five divergent groups - indica, aus, temperate japonica, tropical japonica (also named javanica) and aromatic. This study demonstrates that genome-wide association studies based on large-scale re-sequencing provide a powerful platform for finding genetic variants that can be applied directly for crop improvement.
