description The objectives of this cohort study were to compare the bacterial microbiome lodged in the bronchial tree and in the upper respiratory airway of patients with cystic fibrosis (CF), and to determine the relationships between them and with the clinical patterns, focusing on lung function and exacerbation frequency. For this study sputum (S), oropharyngeal swab (OP) and nasal lavage (N) were the samples examined, which were compared transverse and longitudinally.
