organism Clostridioides difficile QCD-32g58
title A representative of the predominant Quebec strain
description

Clostridium difficile strain QCD-32g58. This organism is a representative of the predominant Quebec strain. It was isolated from a patient with severe Clostridium Difficile Associated Disease.

This assembly was generated by the Washington University Genome Sequencing Center, and the McGill University and Genome Quebec Innovation Centre. This build was constructed using the de novo Newbler assembly from 454 reads supplemented with gap closure by PCR and sequencing. The resulting contigs were ordered and oriented by comparison to the Sanger reference sequence using BLAT to create the chromosomal CON record CM000287.

Bacteria are available from Dr. A. Dascal, Jewish General Hospital, Room G142, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H3T 1E2.
