description In the present study, common wild rice from the Gaozhou area of Guangdong province in China was used as material for studying root and drought resistance genes. The transcriptomes from different tissues of control and drought-treated common wild rice were sequenced using the Illumina paired-end sequencing technology, the sequencing data were assembled and annotated, and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified. The research is essential and helpful to understand the transcript of the mechanism of different organizations drought in common wild rice, and it will be very useful for gene annotation and discovery and for genomic and transcriptomic assembly in common wild rice.
