Six bat fecal samples were collected from six different locations in China. All of the locations were close to human residences. To collect fecal samples from grouped bats, clean plastic sheets measuring 2.0×2.0 meters were placed under known bat roosting sites at approximately 18:00. The fresh fecal samples were collected at approximately 5:30-6:00 the following morning and were stored in liquid nitrogen. The samples were transported to the laboratory and stored at –80°C until analysis. |
